What We Do
The Norfolk Towne Assembly promotes an understanding of Early American (1750 - 1830) music, dance, and social culture through research, public performance and other Living History interpretive activities.
To accomplish this the Norfolk Towne Assembly
Carries out research to further our knowledge.
Presents public and private performances of Early American Dance.
Provides workshops in attire, manners, social culture, non-military history, music, and dance of Early America.
Assists members to more fully understand and appreciate the social culture of the period so they can better portray it.
Continues to learn, share, and impart our knowledge to younger generations so that the history of the United States can be viewed in context.
